Back to basics.

Best ever teachers' day so far, I trudged home wearily and nearly collasped right on my door step because I was so tired. Delivery of presents was as usual, haphazard and highly chaotic - got hopelessly caught in a massive human jam with bodies being squashed against one another in the congested walkway outside the staffroom, with the stale smell of sweat lingering in the air (like ewww) and sticky people shoving and pushing their way through. Me and amanda stubbornly planted ourselves right outside the door, enjoying the sudden rejuvenating burst of cool air-con whenever a teacher entered or walked out, and kept ordering Mr John to call the teachers we wanted to see outside.
Was great to go back to SAC with Isa and manda, and all the teachers were there, which was a huge relief. (Last year was a total failure because by the time we had arrived, the whole school had been reduced to a complete ghosttown; the teachers had all left, and me and isa were left to slug about the school and idle the afternoon away in disappointment) Wallowed in self-contained nostalgia and became all sentimental walking through those cramped tiny corriders swamped with all the little blue pinafore-clad girls chatting animatedly with each other. Soaked in the lost innocence of primary school life all over again and the simplicity of everything in the past, where amath and emath didn't possess our minds with numbers and there weren't multiple CAs and tests every waking moment. Just venturing into the school made me feel so relaxed; it just felt so good to take a vacation from secondary school stress.
As part of yearly routine went to see Ms chee, bumped into mdm Shubana. Me, manda and isa spoke to Ms cham! And for the finale, we managed to find the elusive Ms Chow after scouring the corriders for her familiar face. The three of us burst into a fit of irrepressible laughter when she finally made her grand entrance into the staffroom area (couldn't help it lah). I did feel a tinge of pity for after learning from Ms Cham about the whole petition against her last year to stop teaching primary six (my god, since when did primary sixes get so daring) but manda and isa who detest her to the core didn't let their consciences get in the way. With Isa standing there staring at Ms Chow silently with covert loathing, and manda bombarding her with hilarious recommendations to join Singapore idol, the whole experience was pretty hilarious.
Later on, I was overtaken by waves of new-found hyperness and went ballistic camwhoring and doing failed jumpshots and retarded poses at the hopscotch area. Kept laughing manically and was so damn high that manda and isa were scared.
Love SAC.
